Baize: Plasma and Serum Contamination Assessment Tool (v3.0)
Overview
Baize is a web-based tool for rapid assessment of plasma sample quality. It evaluates contamination across three critical dimensions: platelet contamination, erythrocyte contamination, and residual coagulation protein carryover. The algorithm calculates cell-type-specific contamination indices by normalizing marker protein intensities against total plasma proteome intensity (Contamination Index = Σ Marker Protein Intensities / Σ All Plasma Protein Intensities). Users upload a protein matrix and sample annotation table, and Baize generates a comprehensive contamination evaluation for each sample.
